Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - Etude's Oil Control Film

We all hate when our face gets oily.  Sometimes, the worst part is the trouble of retouching.  You cannot just apply face powder anytime..anywhere.

Thanks to whoever invented oil control films!  :)  It is the most fool-proof way to reduce oiliness.   read more...

your sweetest drug,

I had a chance to join Sir Edward Padama's photo shoot and all I can say is that.......... "I'm now a FAN."

Aside from his great shots, the most mind-blowing part is his skills in post processing.  Whew!

The shoot happened at his studio in Quezon City.  I also had the opportunity to work with Ms. Elaine Palamos for my hair and makeup.  It was fun and to be honest, no nervous feeling at all... just pure enjoyment.  :)

So, take a peek at the photos below.  I haven't received all of them but I just can't wait to post it!

Michiko... Geisha look? :)

Under the sheet...

Ms. Rachel Kabigting helped me all throughout the shoot. :)  Check out some BTS shots below.

That's it!  If you want to work with Sir Edward for your photography needs, you can check out his website here.

Thanks to whoever invented oil control films!  :)  It is the most fool-proof way to reduce oiliness.

Since Dr. Oil Anti-Shine Mist did not work well (check my post here), I had to buy their oil-control film.  Etude also has oil-control paper which costs 178 php.. a bit more expensive than the films.

178 php *photo from Etude's site

I swear... it is super effective!  With just one film, the extra oil on the face surface will be absorbed.  Actually, Kris, our very-reliable-photographer-now-turned-model-just-for-this-blog-post....is the one who's consuming my films!  Tsk..Tsk.. :P

The packaging is pretty good as well.  You can put it anywhere in your bag.

After using, expect an........... "eeww!"

Not mine!  HAHAH!

'Nuff said, this deserves 5 stars! :)

First thing you'll love about this wax?  The scent...  It will give you the urge of eating it....HAHA!  But please don't!

Next, the hold.  :) It comes in 4 types, this one is for the Matte look.  Other types are Natural, Clay and Wave.  Pick one that fits your hairstyle!

So, if you want to try something new.. something more trendy... and k-pop-ish... I recommend Tony Moly's wax.

This is the second makeup remover featured in MUAH.  Before, I was using Etude's and its really effective as well.  You can check out my review here.

I was really planning to buy another one from them, but sadly, it was out of stock.  The good side... a chance for me to try other brands. :)   read more...

Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - E.L.F.'s Concealer and Highlighter

Dark circles.... I know you hate 'em too!  They make you look like a zombie.  It is really hard to get rid of them unless you go for an expensive laser treatment. :(

Good thing, man invented the concealer!  This will give you painless and instant fresh look minus the eye bags! :P   read more...

Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - Cover Girl Lash Blast Length Mascara

Check out my everyday-mascara
from Cover Girl.

This gives enough volume and lift, but not recommended when you want the thickest-looking lashes possible.  The best thing about this mascara is that it doesn't smudge.  It doesn't produce clumps and flakes as well.   read more...

Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - Maybelline's Lash Stiletto Washable Mascara

Noticed how wearing stilettos can make your legs look longer?  That's the concept of Maybelline's Lash Stiletto Mascara collection.  It promises 70% longer lashes.  Wow!

I love how sexy-looking the packaging is.  It looks like a shoe heel (red end as the bottom).   read more...

Brownish Black

I love how sexy-looking the packaging is.  It looks like a shoe heel (red end as the bottom).

Take a closer look on the brush.  Too many strands are placed closer together and in different directions.  The formula is also thick.

Now, for the actual look.

Before... I used the same photo from my previous mascara post.

After... one coat only.

It is ultra lengthening!  The volume is okay and "buildable".  You can put 2-3 coats more.  Since this is in washable version, it is easy to remove but it still creates marks after.

It produces clumps and smudges a bit, so you have to watch out.  The only thing I hate about this mascara is the smell.  I can't describe it... its irritating and it won't come off!  :(

Other than that, I think this deserves 4 stars.  :)  It makes my lashes more visible.

What do you think?

P.S.  I got this from my Mommy's makeup kit...HAHA! :P

your sweetest drug,

Check out my everyday-mascara from Cover Girl.

Black Brown

This gives enough volume and lift, but not recommended when you want the thickest-looking lashes possible.  The best thing about this mascara is that it doesn't smudge.  It doesn't produce clumps and flakes as well.

I can wear it all day long without worrying about the smudging.  The length it creates is pretty good, that's what the name claims right? --- Lash Blast Length! :P

Before... Yep, I know... I have thin and short lashes.. :( and not to mention.. humongous eye bags!

After

This mascara goes for the length rather than volume.  Even so, I love how it separates the lashes. And one more good thing, it is very easy to remove... not a stubborn makeup. :P

I use this daily for work, but not for special occasions. :)  Stay tuned for the next featured mascara here on MUAH.

You can check out Cover Girl's website and FB page for more products.

What to look for in a concealer?  Answer would be... coverage.  I like my concealer to provide the coverage I need without being cakey.

I bought this one from E.L.F. and it comes in duo - with highlighter.

This post will show you the effect of their concealer.  As for the highlighter, I'll try to use it in one of my video tutorials. :)

I love E.L.F.'s packaging

Separate wand for each tube

Now, for the before and after photos...

Before... eye bags for sale.

After...

I did not adjust the lighting for this pictures.  The eye area appeared lighter but still, there were visible lines.  I also noticed that the consistency is not too thick, making it easier to blend.  No cakey appearance after application.

How many stars this time?   I give it 4. :)
