BURP GUIDE - Yoogane

by - October 13, 2013

Time to start blogging about our Korean food trip experience last month.  We tried 3 restaurants  (the other 2 will be in one post) and I'll start with the one here in north.

Thanks to my little knowledge about Hangul (Korean language), I could read those characters. HAHA!  Though it's too obvious - of course that's the restaurant name.

I fell in love with the interior and overall ambiance, making me wanna go back.  The place is very spacious and clean.  They have "ventilation system" (I don't know what to call that) because you can cook at your own table.

I also like their idea of having "dividers" for some tables.  You know, privacy thing.  You don't want to hear and/or see everything from the other customers' table beside you.

There are also cute posters inside!  I think that funny chicken is part of their logo.  HOHO!

A quick look at their menu.  We only tried one dish here, the best-selling of course.  It's called Yoogane Marinated Chicken Galbi Fried Rice with additional Mozzarella Cheese.  Yay rice!  Perfect because it was our first meal, a late lunch.  :)

Our free 6 side dishes came right away.  A Korean meal won't be complete without banchan.

Sweet baby potatoes

Anchovies

Cabbage with dressing and bean sprouts - Can't remember that orange one

and kimchi of course

Our faves from the bunch are anchovies and potato.

Here are the ingredients.  We asked "ate" to cook it for us because it's our first time but it seemed pretty easy.  She just mixed everything together except the cheese.

As soon as Ate started cooking, a little chit-chat began too.  HAHA!

Good for 2-3

Yummo!!

Yes, it's spicy but it's something I can still tolerate.  The overall taste was simple but the melted mozarella cheese added oomph!  Irresistable!  Honestly, I already miss this dish.  We might drop by again soon.  #cravingstarts

They even gave us free Yakult after our meal!  Thank you!!

Too bad, we were not able to take outfit photos.  HUHU!  Anyway, I'll just feature these 2 chic pieces on a separate Lookbook post next time. *wink

Happy us! <3

Definitely, deserves 5 burps!
