Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish in Shade 09

by - July 06, 2014

Here's another lippie review featuring Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish.  Now, I got my hands on one more shade and it's time to share with you the swatch .  Thanks again to Mami Joy for this pasalubong!  Muah! :)

Packaging

Just like the other one I shared previously, it's housed in this sleek black case cause it's also from the Lasting Finish collection.

Instead of numbering, Rimmel should have named these beautiful babies.

Color

I got the shade #09 and it's a very pretty mid-dark fuchsia color with hints of red.

The Lasting Finish lipsticks are really pigmented.  You'll get a rich, intense and opaque color.  No matter what skin tone you have, this will look perfect.

Application

Very smooth and requires no dragging or pulling.

Texture

It feels a little bit creamy.

Finish

It's a creamier version of a regular classic lippies.  There's a little shine but still velvetty.  It will look glossier if you put lip balm prior.

Longevity

Without eating or drinking, it might probably lasts several hours.  It can survive 3 hours and once it starts to fade, the color doesn't really leave because there would be some stains (and I like that).  It also feathers sometimes because of the texture.

Here's how it looks when placed between a true plum shade and a warm red.

Formula

I love the fact that you can build the color up.  Dabbing it slightly will already give you a nice tinted lips.  It's not dehydrating in the first few hours but, there's some flaking afterwards.

I can imagine pairing this bold lip color with smudged eyeliner.  Actually, I bet it will look great with any eye makeup!

More photos!

To achieve a sweet look with dark fuchsia lips, pair it with less and clean eye shadow and add white eyeliner on your waterlines.  If you're in the mood for something fiercer and vampy, try a smokey eye makeup (like Kim Kardashian smokey).  :)
