Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist and Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser

by - January 21, 2019

Althea has really taken their game to the next level.  With all of the back-to-back releases, it's hard to keep up - in a good way though.  That ain't a complain because trying out new products is one thing I truly enjoy.

Here are two Althea Exclusives that came in the mail last month.

The first one I'm gonna talk about is the product made in collaboration with Indonesian star, Titi Kamal.  They veered away a bit from skincare and makeup and created a Body Sparkling Mist.

From the packaging and the product description online (check it here), anyone could tell that the fragrance is floral.  And being a not-so-fond-of-floral-scent kind of person that I am, I wasn't too excited.  However, the first spritz brought a change of heart.  I love how the fruity notes give a sweet, fresh scent and how it kind of lighten the floral notes.

Next is another 2-in-1 product, combining the powers of a deep cleanser and a serum.

Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is basically an oil cleanser with serum benefits in it.  The formula guarantees hydration, pore care and balanced pH level because of the mint leaf extract, jojoba seed oil and tea tree leaf extract.

This melts away makeup, even the stubborn ones and even if it's oil-based, it doesn't feel irritating nor leave greasy residue.

I applied lip tint, regular and long-lasting liquid lipstick, mascara, waterproof eyeliner and mascara, brow tint and foundation on the back of my hand to test how tough this cleanser is.

I then put on a few drops and did a good rub.  The instruction says rinse with water, but here, I just used cotton pads to wipe everything off.  I got nothing left.

The lip tint left no stain and even the liquid lipstick that's always giving me a hard time taking off didn't leave a mark.

Of course, I had to try it on my face as well.  It doesn't feel like you are massaging oil on since there's still water in the formula.  I could barely smell anything as well.

I've tried cleansing balms and oil-based makeup removers before and most of them would either irritate my eyes or cause a blurred vision when the product gets in.  Haha!  😛 This one doesn't give me the same problems so I could really work my way to remove waterproof mascara and eyeliner.

It is still recommended to double cleanse, so after rinsing this with water, grab your cleanser.  But definitely, makeup won't stand a chance with this one.  😉
